    Everything Starts Where It Ends

Yes. Lightning. Very much so. I’m laying here, headphones hanging around my neck blaring Lovedrug, iPod in one hand, laptop in the other, and watching the lightning show being provided by this lovely storm. That’s more than enough to keep me content for the night.

Watching a lighting storm is like looking at series of pictures. Each frame is almost the same, except the branches swaying in the wind and the raindrops on my window, slowly answering the call of gravity. And the rare frame has a silvery-white bolt sprawling across my narrow slice of sky.

Most of the lightning is from the direction I’m looking. Most frames are black trees silhouetted by the red-white sky. Some bolts come from my right, illuminated the green and silver leaves to my left, buy still silhouetting the closer ones. One half is like day, the other is as night.

And once or twice the bolt struck behind me, and then for the briefest of instants, a picture taken then could be thought to be of daylight.

Some bolts are content with just a loud rumble, but no! Some overachievers must go all the way to rattle my window.

But now the storm has subsided for the moment, with the crashing of rain and distant rumbles. It’ll be back soon enough.

    Computers Fixin' uppin'

Due to a lack of funds, Brendan and I have decided to start a "business" of fixing, repairing, building and whatnot of computers. The main things we're planning on doing are:

-Repair. Printers that don't print. Screen that don't.. screen? Stuff like that.

-Formatting. I've come to believe that most computers need to be formatted. Formatting is basically the erasing of all the data on a hard drive. Yes, it sounds scary. But, once you make copies of all the stuff you need, it is perfectly safe. The reason formatting is needed is because Windows builds up virtual garbage when it runs and after a year or two, all that garbage usually starts slowing things down. And a format will bring things back to like-new speed.

-Building. If you already have an old computer. (Even ancient.) Chances are a few of the parts could be used in a brand new computer, thus saving you monies. Sometimes, even building a computer with all new parts can be cheaper, because you can buy parts that will fit exactly what you plan on using the computer for.

We'll be doing more things later on, but for starters, thats the lineup. Of course, if you have something else computer related in need of doing, it can't hurt to ask. :)

For now we're just planning on working for people we know, or maybe people whom people we know, know.

So, if you've got any questions or anything, just email me at wedgeplayssoccer@gmail.com or contact me in some other way.

    ---

This, isn't to say I won't be doing repairs and stuff for the soccer peoples for free anymore! I like helping yous alls with your electronic ailments. But for the larger, more time consuming things like builds and such, I'd probably give a discount.

    College

Some of you already know this college stuff. Some don't. So I'll write about it.

I've been accepted to Purdue and am going to be going there next fall. Brendan and I are going to be sharing a dorm room. Which is totally going to be awesomeness.

I'm doing a Computer Sciences major. I really don't know what sub-category of programming I'm going to pursue, but I don't really have to decide that for a while yet. I don't really know what I'll minor in, if anything. Neurology or something would be fun. But who knows. I don't.

Although on many levels I'd rather stay in Terre Haute and play soccer for another year, I'm fairly excited about going to college. So much information available to be learned. So little time to learn it all. Gaah. Oh well. And I get broadband instead of dial-up. Thats gonna be awesome.

So now all thats left to do is choose a dorm, hold out accepting for more scholarships, and setting up class schedules and etc.

I'm going to miss everyone very much. Soo.... everyone will have to get googletalk and talk to me while I'm up there.

    Mmhmm

The end-of-season banquet was on Wednesday night. I enjoyed the awards immensely. Some of the were very, very funny: "Striking white shorts award," "Loudest discussion of showering techniques." And it was also great to listen and watch the peoples play piano.

    ---

As most of you have copies of, I've a large number of pictures of this season. So, since I tied Matt on Halo 2 slayer today and figured maybe I could do something else with a small bit of my free time, I was wondering if anyone would like collages made from said pictures?
